Our website is written by students interested in how America’s healthcare systems have affected and continued to affect African American communities today. Black communities are at higher risks for serious health conditions and yet due to the prominent discrimination in the U.S, have no support from health care systems to help. African Americans are dying at a significantly higher rate than white Americans and their health has been one of the many things placed at the expense of the white privilege that remains today. The goal of our blog is to raise awareness to how minority groups, in this case black Americans, are exploited and wronged in a country whose original foundations were based on protecting and serving all people despite their race.
